On Top of the World

Well behaved women rarely make history.

This morning, after fighting tears for an hour or so because Morning Joe‘s education town hall show was too inspiring, I discovered the formula for cheering me up.

Fringe + Plague + Diane Kruger + Clue.

Now, to be honest, any one of these would probably do it (I’ll explain plague!) and the main thing is I’ve as short an attention span for my emo as for anything. Possibly shorter. I get it out and move on. But, this little formula made me SO cheerful, I’ve decided to share:

Fringe, aka currently my favourite show on television, is finally back with a new episode ONE WEEK FROM TODAY. The Fringey news has been great during the hiatus — it’s been renewed for a third season and one of the upcoming episodes will be musical (!!!). If you are wondering why I watch, here’s a list:

1. Joshua Jackson
2. Olivia Dunham
3. Peter Bishop
4. Olivia is a “me” character and Josh’s Peter loves her (however you want to define ‘love’, it’s TRUE).
6. Astrid!
7. One of the characters is a cow.
8. J.J. Abrams
9. FBI + “Science” + Alternate Universes + Superpowers + Covert Ops + Dysfunctional Family Dynamics + That Makes No Sense/I Love It + Supporting Cast of Win + Lead Cast of Super Win + Guest Cast of Yay + Gah!
10. Joshua Jackson

Next week’s episode will feature no Josh, but Young Peter, who I already know I love. And this morning I stumbled across promo pics and news for the episode after that. Which brings us to —

+ Plague

I love plague stories. Doomsday Book, Fever, Outbreak, I just love it all. Plague drama is absolutely fascinating to me. And Fringe episode 2.16 is:

When a perfectly healthy woman is found dead from a disease she never had, the Fringe team investigates the origin of this inexplicably fatal condition before it claims more innocent victims. Meanwhile, Olivia struggles to keep Walter’s secret from Peter, and her loyalty to Peter is tested as time goes on

Plague drama AND Peter&Olivia drama? <33333333333333333333!!

+Diane Kruger

Diane filmed a scene for Fringe back in January (yes, that is adorable) and comparing her picture to the one above with Olivia and a plague victim, I think it’s this episode. I’m gonna go so far as to say she’s the perfectly healthy woman found dead. A quick cameo before the title sequence sounds about right to me for this kind of thing. So. YAY DIANE!!

Finally —

The title of the episode is “Olivia. In the Lab. With the Revolver.”

Otherwise known as Best Title Yet.
